Humanistic Counselling
Looking for space to pause, breathe, and make sense of what you’re feeling? My humanistic (person-centred) counselling offers a warm, non-judgmental relationship built on empathy, honesty, and unconditional positive regard—so you can explore your inner world and move toward greater self-acceptance. Sessions are available face-to-face in Maidstone & Teston (free parking) or online across Kent.

Confidential, professional support tailored to you.
What you can expect
Humanistic counselling is collaborative and non-directive—I won’t tell you what to do. Instead, we create a safe relationship where you can hear yourself clearly and discover your own way forward. I may integrate gentle tools from CBT or Gestalt where helpful, while keeping the work person-centred.
- A genuinely accepting therapeutic relationship
- Empathic listening and reflections that deepen insight
- Space to align your ideal self and real self (greater congruence)
- Options for face-to-face counselling or online counselling in Kent

FAQs about humanistic counselling
How is humanistic counselling different from CBT?
Humanistic counselling focuses on the whole person and the therapeutic relationship—creating conditions for growth and self-acceptance. CBT is more structured and skills-based. I can integrate both, depending on what you need.
Will you give me advice?
Rather than advice, I offer a supportive space to help you understand yourself and make choices that fit your values. Where useful, I’ll share tools or options for you to consider.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people prefer short-term work around a specific issue; others value longer-term space for deeper exploration. We’ll review together and agree a pace that feels right.
Can we meet online instead of in person?
Yes. I offer online counselling via Zoom (download required) as well as in-person sessions in Maidstone & Teston.
