Affordable Student Counselling in Maidstone & Kent

Being a student can be exciting and rewarding, but it also comes with pressure. Many people struggle with deadlines, exams, part-time work and personal challenges at the same time. My aim is to provide a safe and confidential space where you can explore these pressures, build coping strategies, and look after your mental wellbeing. Reduced student fees mean counselling remains accessible while you study, whether you choose in-person sessions or flexible online support.

What I offer

I’m an integrative counsellor, blending humanistic, CBT and Gestalt approaches. Sessions are client-focused, meaning we work together in a way that fits your needs and pace. Topics often include stress, low mood, confidence, anxiety, academic or placement worries, and personal relationships.

Sessions are available in person or online, typically 50 minutes each week. The first step is arranging a free consultation to see if counselling feels right for you.

Fees for students

I offer a student discount because I believe counselling should remain affordable during your studies. Please contact me for current reduced rates and availability.

You can also view my general pricing on the Fees page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit therapy around my timetable?

Yes. I know how unpredictable student life can be. I offer weekday daytime and evening slots, with some later times available by arrangement. Online counselling gives you even more flexibility, so you can attend sessions between lectures or from home without extra travel stress.

Do you write placement or fitness-to-practise letters?

Where appropriate, I can provide brief documentation such as confirmation of attendance or short summaries, always with your consent. These letters can sometimes be useful for placements or university requirements, and we will discuss what is suitable together.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes — confidentiality is a key part of counselling. Everything you share stays private, except in specific circumstances linked to safety or legal reasons. I explain this clearly before we begin, so you know exactly what to expect. You can also read more in my Policies and Privacy pages.

How do I start?

Simply send me a quick message via the contact page and we’ll arrange a free initial chat. You can ask questions, explain what you’d like from counselling, and then decide whether to begin short-term or longer-term sessions. There’s no obligation — the choice is yours.
